Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions are a MUST for both the seller and the buyer. When terms are properly stated there can be no margin for any discrepancies. They protect not only the seller but also the buyer in all transactions. We have listed our terms and hope that you will take the time to read them, carefully, so that there will be no misunderstandings when and if you should decide to purchase from us. This will assure smooth transaction and long-term successful relationship. Once you are satisfied with our sincerity and strive for your satisfaction than go ahead and buy as much as you like.

·         Privacy of Information

Lakeshore Trading & Antiques Ltd. oa Lakeshore Antiques does not sell or lend ANY personal information collected during your visit to our online store. That means your name and address will not show up on any mailing lists, other than our own, should you request it. Furthermore, any personal information that is required to process your visit is only used with your prior knowledge and consent.

If you would like to be removed from our mailing list, just let us know and we will delete your information.

·         Payment Options

We accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express via PayPal , Personal Cheques , Cashier’s Cheques and Money Orders .

Personal cheque requires a 10-business day hold on the purchased merchandise. Credit card, money order and/or cashier's check purchases will be shipped next business date following the full payment.

NSF cheque . There will be a $50.00 return cheque fee added to the amount of the cheque.

ALL payments must be, received by us, within 7 days of the order and/or auction end date.

·         Taxes

Canadian residents add 7% GST.  If you are picking up merchandise in Canada and leaving the country with the goods, prior arrangements must be made.

·         Shipping

We use the Canada Post, UPS or any other most economical shipping company as our shipping agent. When shipping large items we use FastFrate. 

ALL packages and furniture are insured for the purchase price with NO exception.

WE WILL NOT ship without insurance regardless of the price of the item.

Purchased items will be professionally packed, crated and prepared for the shipping.

BUYER is responsible for all shipping, crating and insurance costs unless otherwise stated. This is pertinent to both on-line auctions and our web site.

WE WILL NOT DELIVER TO A P.O. BOX.

You are welcome to make your own shipping and handling arrangements.

·         Damage in Transit

We are not responsible for damage, which occurs after goods leave our premises in the hands of postal, or courier services etc.

If you do receive damaged goods , please retain all relevant documentation so that an insurance claim can be made against the carrier's insurers. If you receive a battered parcel, note the fact on the delivery note, even before you open the package to examine the contents. If you are unable to open the damaged package in the presence of the carrier, make sure that you sign for it as " Damaged package; goods not yet inspected" or similar to warn the carrier that a claim could be made.

·          Return Policy

If for some unlikely reason you are unhappy with your purchase from us:

1.       The Lakeshore Trading & Antiques Ltd. oa Lakeshore Antiques must be notified in writing within 3 days after you received the merchandise 

2.       Returns MUST be in our possession no later than 14 days after you receive the item AND with our prior knowledge that it is being returned. We reserve the right not to refund if we feel the item was accurately described and/or the 14-day return policy has expired. Promptness on a return is mandatory and there will be NO exception to the 14 day turn-a-round policy

3.       We DO NOT charge a restocking fee however customer will be responsible for initial or return shipping and handling charges. We will also deduct any and all on-line auctions fees, which includes listing fee and commission REGARDLESS of the circumstances. The item must be shipped fully insured and received in undamaged, "as sold" condition, before a refund of the sale price may be issued. The buyer is also responsible for all shipping, packing, insurance and all other related costs before an item can be returned for a refund. We WILL NOT accept any items that are returned and not insured. They will be returned to sender. The Lakeshore Trading & Antiques Ltd. oa Lakeshore Antiques is the sole judge of whether the returned condition complies with our terms and policies.

4.       If your package is not received by you within 10 days of the shipping date we ask that you contact us at that time. If you notify us AFTER more then 21 days we cannot be responsible for the search or refund of that item.

5.       We are not responsible for a broken or damaged item during shipment however; we will be glad to assist you with the appropriate forms required for reimbursement provided by shipping company.

6.       Lakeshore Trading & Antiques Ltd. oa Lakeshore Antiques and any associates are not responsible for any use or misuse and/or injury or damage caused by the purchase of any items from the above mentioned.

·          Warranties/Guarantees

We do not leave any warranties or guarantees on antiques.
